Have been looking at new modular helmets. Been a bit of an adventure. I’ve never used a heated shield before, but I know if I get a helmet with one it is cheaper than buying a shield later. Ordered and FXR fuel modular. Sent it back because it was a flemsey piece of junk and the breath guard defeated any purpose of a modular. Went to the CKX Tranz 1.5 to find out it was a complete fog fest and a sweat box due to poor vent design. Now I’m looking at the Bell Revolver Evo.
So here are my questions:
1) can you use a heated shield without wiring it just like a standard dual lens? I’m not sure I’ll have the time to get it wired this season.
2) my sled is a 2013 Renegade Etec 600. Can I use the kit that comes with the electric shield and hook it to the battery, or do I need to buy the harness kit that Ski doo offers?
