Just registered on monday 3-6-17. I have been around sleds for better then 20 years.
I have never seen the electrodes on the spark plugs disappear. My friend was riding the xc700 sled
and said it lost power instantly. I pulled the plugs BOTH electrodes were gone along with the center
eroded an 1/8" or more replaced plugs unit was only running on 1 cylinder. Shut it off towed it back to
trailer. Started it up just to get it into the trailer and shut off. I plan to check spark, my suspicion is we were
riding in a lot of powder today and it may have gotten some into the engine. The unit has less then 1000 miles
and has always run strong. I will check spark for both sides Tuesday morning, plan on heading to my local dealer where I have bought at 6 units from him and talk to his mechanics. I got a bad feeling I will be doing an overhaul
on the motor any feedback will be appreciated
