We finally got some snow out west, so had a great weekend working the bugs out of my 550. Did a total rebuild at the end of last year. It is running great, but it seems as if the clutching is not right. It engages at about 5000, fairly smooth. It feels as if the motor is winding out, rpms are high and there is not much top end. At 5000, the sled is running at about 20 mph.
Any ideas on where I should start? Could it be that i didn't get the motor aligned with the clutches? When i installed the motor, i wasn't sure where the shims went!
