I'm 21, 240 lbs and currently ride a 07 Phazer FX. I really like the narrow seat, and the way the 4 stroke sips fuel even when you beat on it. The sled has dual carbide skis that increase the steering effort which I don't mind. I have the suspension pretty tight. with the weight transfer spring on hard
I almost exclusively ride trails, usually pretty tight ones. I snowmobile in the Okemo area in VT.
My dad has a 2014 Rush R, which is great to ride, but is a little scary because the track has no bite when you brake. Not entirely sure why, its near the same weight and the same track length. Not sure if thats something wrong with the sled or if thats normal. I just like a little more safety net than that sled has.
Rode a switchback today, it was real fast, but no fun if you weren't hauling on it.
I ride pretty aggressively and I tend to beat on sleds pretty hard, I've tipped my Phazer over a couple times, so something robust is good.
What sleds would you recommend? Short track, and narrow seat are really the key features. How are the new Phazers compared to the old ones? What about a 15-16 with some upgrades?
