I have a 09 550 mxz fan cooled with electric start. As I’m driving the machine the engine stops running. I turn the key off and back on again and the engine immediately restarts. It may move 5 feet or five miles before it does it again. It may do it once or four or five times in a short period of time. If it does do it more than 3 times in a short span I will sometimes get a backfire when it restarts. I have new plugs fresh gas. I have been told it may be the cdi but it’s a non returnable part that’s not really cheap so I rather not roll the dice on it unless there is some way I can check it. Is this a common issue with this particular machine? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
