So I have 2 different sleds each with its own problem. 1 - 2001 mxz 700 trail. 4000 miles. Sled has been sitting for 2 years due to no time to ride. I got it all cleaned fresh gas and plugs and fired it up for the first time yesterday. After shutting it down I noticed a puddle of oil on the floor and oil in the exhaust pipe. I noticed oil around the bottom gasket of jugs and around the exhaust manifold gaskets. Does this mean a complete rebuild or? Oil was clear and I found no other drips anywhere on bellypan except out exhaust.
2 - 2001 mxzx 600 3600 miles. Again sled has set for 2 years as well. I did the same as other sled with cleaning and fresh plugs and gas. I have noticed this past summer that there was small amounts of oil dripping out of belly pan. not exactly sure. no evidence on motor anywhere of where its coming from Its not a constant drip. I will be going out this morning to see if there is a small puddle under it.
Any help or ideas would be great. I like to do all my own maintenance so I get more acquainted with my machines and can better service them.
