Kinda new here though I go to the Polaris ATV forums often.
I bought a leftover 2017 Polaris Indy 550 144 today because I like long tracks. I didn't buy the Indy 600 because the track length I was going to buy. I can see a long track should ride smoother too. I got a good deal as well, but the dealer didn't know some info like engine horsepower? The dealer tried to tell somewhere between 80 and 120 horse, but no way is the horsepower 120 in the 550.
I know 600 engines are more horsepower about 120 do to fuel injection and other factors from online searches, but I can find no ratings for the 550 fan engine.
I see the Polaris 550 fan is reliable from what I've read online, but the dealer another good question he couldn't answer is if these fan engines heat up? I mean outside of the fan belt breaking what conditions might cause this to happen?
