2002 Summit 800 with fresh top-end rebuild, new SPI pistons and rings. Fixed a coolant leak and now chasing down assorted items
Noticed an "Oil splatter" on the front side of the engine block. Looks like the seal between the muffler and the y-pipe is not secure.
I'm buying a brand-new muffler springs because the muffler is not sitting square with the y-pipe. I think the muffler springs are factory originals. Is there more I can do? I did not see a donut gasket in the parts diagram, but happy to purchase one if it exists. Any and all suggestions would be helpful.
I don't think the y-pipe gaskets are leaking, as mentioned above, it looks more "splatter" than "leak/runs" I noticed it is possible to adjust the tension of the springs that hold up the resonator. Do the resonator-support springs have any effect on the orientation of the muffler to the y-pipe
Many thanks in advance
