Hi there. New here and I need an arctic cat 580 guru to help please. 😁
I built a 580 engine from 4 old 580 engines. I used a 1992 550 crank and stator and flywheel and triple port jugs and heads and an efi case.
I went to set the timing and I don't know where I should set it.
The 550 and the older 580s have way less timing than the slightly newer 95 and up 580s. I would rather not melt my pistons down. I DID set dynamic timing to 30deg. Static timing did check out at.. 215btdc.
What determines where I should set it?
