Just bought this machine 3 weeks ago. Hard to start when bought it. checked clutch side plug was wet. put in new plugs, and caps on the end of plug wires. Set a plug to a gap of 80 thousand and both plugs jumped the gap no problem. Cleaned both carbs and blew out jets on both carbs. Still hard to start. checked compression 90 on the left and 125 on the mag side. replaced both pistons, rings and con bearings., as well as the gaskets. I did not touch the crank seals. still hard to start. replaced both carb input boots as well as the fuel pump. It still will not start without the choke on full even when it is warm. It will not idle below 2200 rpm but will run all day like that. normal driving is fine.
Now I am thinking crank seals. the rpm does not change if I spray wd40 around the clutch when it is running. Don't know what to try next?? any ideas anyone?
