LED light 2002 Polaris Edge

Hi, I recently purchased some LED lights for my 2002 Polaris Indy 500 (Edge chassis). I am trying to figure out how I can wire them up. I believe it calls for 12 VDC. I am wondering if I can just hook them into a heated shield plug by the dash? As a sled without a battery (and no desire to get one), I will need to take power from the sled when it is running. I would guess someone has done this before and will have some answers and hopefully a simple way to rig it up.
