1997 ZR 580 EFI question

Hey all, my ecu is flashing a code for my coolant temperature sensor. I had a working spare I tried putting in and I still get the same code from the ecu so now I am checking over the wiring.

I checked out the wiring diagram for this model and all it shows me is a red/white wire from coolant sensor to the temperature warning light at the dash cluster which I was able to trace/inspect. Does anybody know where the wire goes from the dash cluster to the computer? I would like to trace that back and inspect/test it but the diagram only shows a wire coming from the coolant sensor to the dash cluster warning lamp, how does it tie into the computer?
