So i'm in the process of un-frankensteining my 1987 exiter. Right now the choke is operated by pulling upwards on a chain that is clamped onto the ends of cables that were cutt off about an inch before they disappear into the carb. My new/used choke assmbly just showed up today and I'd like to install it but i'm not sure of the original location of the choke lever. Im guessing that it should be just to the left of the ignition switch but not sure because there is a primer pump there at the monent. Can anyone tell me the orginal location of the choke lever and how it is routed?
