Hello from Central, NY! My wife and I have the bug again to get back into snowmobiling. I've had several sleds since my youth. They include several Skidoos, Polaris, Yamaha and an Artic Cat El Tigre 6000. I know, I'm dating myself. The last sleds we had were a '97 Indy Trail and a 2000 Indy 500 XCSP (Anniversary Edition) Have gone to a couple of shows and all the new sleds look very foreign to me. We are in search of sleds that will have all the creature comforts. Not fast, but comfortable. One of my questions for the group is how far back from new can I go, and still get a reliable, comfortable sled? Price is not an issue, but I'm not looking for new as I know, by experience, how many times I'm likely to ride during a winter season. I'm one that believes all manufacturers produce quality products. I'm only leaning toward Skidoo and Polaris because I have good dealers located near me. I have looked at Touring models, One up Ski Doo Legends, Polaris Classics etc. I have never rode a new forward seating position sled. I would interested to see what older guys, like me, think of the ride quality.
Looking forward to receiving some good insight from this forum's members.
