Hey all, new guy from BC Canada.
Picked up a 1995 Polaris Indy xlt 600 (SKS? Has another thing on the back). I paid 750$ in the middle of the summer.
I'm a sled newb. I have maybe 3 hours riding one but I'm quite mechanically inclined. First few things I did was the chaincase fluid, new carbides, hood cable, and I tried greasing the thing. Wow there's a lot of grease points.
I found 4 up front, one on the steering, and 5 underneath by the track. I'll do a compression test tomorrow but it fires right up and goes pretty good. Wondering what are some things I should get ahead of on this snowmobile. It has about 4000 KM on it, which seems ok?
Anyways, happy to be here, went for a little ride last week, and can't wait for more.
I appreciate any tips or heads up on common failures. I'm going to spend the next day going through my manual. I'm a bit of a maintenance nazi and want to make sure I get it all. Here's a pic!
