I hope this is the right place for this. I have a 1973 Arctic Cat El Tigre 340 with a Kawasaki motor. The tag says TIA340SI with a B stamped nect to it then stamped into the engine is T1A03 097824. My brother was riding it and it started to lose power then just died. I found one cylinder had no compression so I pulled the head and found the piston had a hole burned through it, the electrode was burned off the spark plug (which turned out to be the wrong spark plug) and the head gasket was in poor condition. Everything else was ok, the cylinder, head, connecting rod. I ordered a piston and a gasket set for it. The gasket set says it is for this machine but the old head gaskets are graphite while the ones in the kit are just metal rings. Is that right? Also, what should i torque the head to and is there a specific pattern I need to use?
