1994-1997 polaris EFI air temp sensor

I have a 1994 polaris 500 EFI and i was getting a code 13

count the blinks. Long followed by short .. for example 0ne long flash followed by two short flashes would be code 12

Anyways polaris no longer makes this part i called cooperate and they said the same thing , So i remembered that arctic cat sued polaris for the EFI design , So i took a chance and ordered an arctic cat part number Arctic Cat Air Temperature Sensor 3005-460 ZR 500 600 800 900 Mountain Cat ZL F7 which i found on eBay heres the ebay listing number eBay item number:272457047513,'' WELL FOR ANYONE OUT THERE HAVING THIS SAME PROBLEM IT WORKS '' cleared the code!!!!!!! u do have to take a file and give the left side of the sensor hole a little bigger opening and butt connect the wires and by the way it dosentt matter which way you connect the wires hope this helps anyone who is have the same problem i have had. i couldn't find anything in regards to this issue
