I am new to the Forum but I have been a browser for a few years. I have researched this issue extensively but had no luck in finding an answer. Please keep in mind that I am a NOOB and definately not too mechanically inclined so bear with me.
My 550 starts and idles fin. It was running well until my son stopped on our driveway and it wouldn't go anywhere. The primary clutch seems to be working fine. When I put the sled on a stand and rev up the RPMs, the primary clutch moves and engages the belt (fairly new). The secondary clutch does not move at all. On the stand, I can't get the track to move an inch.
I checked for obstructions (sticks, rocks, etc) underneath and all around the track but couldn't find anything - seems clear. The belt is new and that does not SEEM to be an issue. I checked the gear oil which was low and the pin had some metallic shavings on it (not 100% sure what that means). The gear oil may be a little low. I store the sled in my barn and the track does not seem frozen or anything like that.
Any suggested troubleshooting that I can do would truly be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.
