I thought I had an almost general understanding of engines but I am nearly lost trying to figure much out about this snowmobile. :dunno:
It started about 4 months ago but I've pulled starting rope at least 70 times in the last 3 days and it doesn't start.
I used to smell gas when it did start but I don't smell it when I try to start it now.
I put more gas into the tank because I thought it might be low on fuel. That didn't help.
I am not sure where the carburetor is located. Is there a carburetor for each cylinder? There is something that looks like a carburetor to me but there is 3 of them.
Also, I'm not sure how much fuel should be in the fuel filter cartridge but there is only about 1/3" of gas in it.
What would you suggest I try first? If I had an uneducated guess, there is not fuel getting to wherever it needs to get.
Any idea what I should try?
The only snowmobile mechanic near me closed up his shop a couple of months ago and moved away.
