2003 xp sp 700 edge water pump replacement.

Hi I have a 2003 xp sp 700 edge water pump replacement. trying to figure out if I have to remove the generator and case to get to water pump. I have the exhaust off but not sure water pump will come off because of the long tupe to the engine is holding the hose.
