Thanks to all contributors

Just a note to say thanks for all the invaluable help found on this forum. Several years ago I bought a 96 XLT Touring 600 at auction for not too much money. I have now completed a season of enjoyable trouble free riding. (We even had decent snow this year).

Issues I have solved with your help.

- fuel tank removal, cleaning, line replacement
- fuel pump rebuild
- carb removal, rebuild, tuning
- chain case cleaning and adjustment
- front suspension repair.
- drive/driven clutch rebuild (Na, can't take credit for that one. The Polaris tech did it. But the forum troubleshot the problem)

Thanks again

Polaris 2003 XC EDGE 800 throttle issue

dimanche 26 mars 2017

Hello, I am having an issue with my throttle/throttle cable. After I accelerate past 3500 rpm's my sled does not want to stop or go below 3500 rpms. I am unsure if my cable is too loose or worn. There seems to be some extra slack at the very end of the throttle cable line.Could this be causing this to happen? Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any ideas? Thank you, Mike

No power to the fuel pump. Is the power fed from the stator or the ECU? I put power direct from the battery and pump works fine. Bad ECU?

Two sleds for sale

I have a 1999 Ski Doo 500f/c Touring Sle. It runs amazing, has never been into the shop, unless it's to get summerized. All of the miles are easy trail miles. It has electric start and reverse. It's great for ice fishing as you can take two people, and pull a sled. It has a good track, and new carbides. Only caveat is a small rip in the seat.

I have an 86' Ski Doo Tundra LT for sale. It runs and drives perfect. It was rebuilt last season, there is about 200kms on the rebuild. Track is in great shape, still has hairs on it. Great little fishing and bush play around sled. It's in great shape. Good for kids. It has 6 inch ski skins on it. The only caveat is a tiny crack in the windshield.

Sorry there's not many pictures, but it's a pain to upload pictures

I'm located 40 minutes northeast of Parry Sound. The tundra has 200km on the rebuild. $1800 The touring has 9722km. $2500. Prices are negotiable.

Reset codes

jeudi 23 mars 2017

Long story short, after installing a new Speedo on my 08 yamaha venture TF, I'm still getting codes 84 and 42 come up ( I know what these codes are) so I was then told that I need to reset the codes. Only thing I can find online says to hold down the "select" and "reset" but I only have a "reset"button. Anyone have any idea on how to reset the codes in my sled. Thanks
