Used Engine Break In?

vendredi 2 mars 2018

My 2000 Polaris XC SP 600 blew up a couple weeks ago. Figured out a crank rod bearing had a needle come out and into the cylinder. So I decided to go with buying a used engine. Picking it up tomorrow from a reputable dealer, and gonna put it in myself. My question is, for a used engine, obviously the rings don't need to be seated, but what do I need to do? Should I run premix through? If so what mixture and how much? I really don't wanna do a whole tank of premix if it's not needed, but if it's necessary I will. Here's the sled the engine is going in.

Used Engine Break In?

81 enticer Seco dart spring install

So I ordered a new secondary spring because I'm finding its engaging way to early on me all the time.causing the sled to seem to loose speed while cruising hit the gas a bit more and it'll "downshift" and it's good till secondary again grabs.

So my question is from what I see remove the pin on the Secondary shaft holding the helix on. Remove helix and spring and just reinstall? Does spring have adjustabirt or have to b wound to a certain amount or?

thanks!

'06 FST Switchback start up issue

Everything on the engine is normal when the key is in start position. The problem is nothing comes on in the run position where the key will be when the sled is running. So when you turn the key to the first notch (before start) the fuel pump should run for a bit, the gauges should turn in, basically the ecu should power up. They only work when the key is turned clear to start.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? We have messed around with the wiring harness a bit, but we thought we got it back into a stock form, but we are still having this issue. We know that the sled is mechanically sound, the fuel is going into the engine and we are getting spark.

Any help would be appreciated.
