Skidoo Renegade Rotax 800R E-Tec Spark Issue

As stated in the title, I'm having trouble getting spark. I tested the kill switch for continuity and it was all good. Replaced the plugs and tested them and was able to get spark. I reinstalled the plugs and started the engine only to have it idle for about 2 seconds before dying. I removed the plugs and tested for spark again and there wasn't any this time. Checked all wire for looseness or damage around the coil pack and all looked good. Both fuses are fine as well.

Any ideas on what the issue could be here?

Should i rebuild my 2003 skidoo rev 600 ho? Has about 6k on rebuild

Sleds at 11,700 miles, it qas last rebuilt at 6k miles, i believe the p.o used wiseco pistons, my sled runs great and goes into reverse strong im just wanting to not have any downtime this season, should i replace my pistons and rings? I'm looking at the spi kit with single rigs for 175 free shipping, comes with caged bearings and gaskets, my fear is that one of the pistons will get more worn than the rings and develop piston slap cracking a skirt, opinions much appreciated

96' Indy 500 trail - kill switch issue

Hey guys i just signed up here to get some advice. This passed winter my 500 indy gave me some fuel issues which i've fixed this week but upon trying to restart it i found it was having an intermittent spark issue as well, probably from sitting around un-used.

Long story short i've disconnected the single black wire coming off the CDI box (i think that's the name of it) and the sled fires up great now but i'm having trouble tracking down the cause of the problem and would like to properly fix it instead of rigging up a different kill switch

So far i've pulled apart everything around the handlebars to disconnect every connection but with every component disconnected, that little black wire is still grounding out telling me the problem is somewhere else in the harness but my lack of experience with sleds is leaving me guessing where to look next

Are there any common issues with these i can look for? any advice would be great

What is everyone's thought on working out/fitness routines? We all know snowmobiling is a workout itself. Do you do anything else to stay fit? My question was sparked by a post I saw on one of these groups that asked about drinking energy drinks. Thought this would be a fun discussion as well.

Will the X-package front and rear shocks off a 2006 Mack Z 1000 fit on my wife’s 2005 GTX 600 SDI? Mack z is a sort “121” , and the GTX is a 136. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I've just returned to snowmobiling after 34 years. I had a 79' Yamaha 250 Enticer that I sold in 1984 when I was 16. Needed money for a car. My family had already sold their machines, so it wasn't like I was going to get to travel to Northern Michigan.

Wow, things have changed! I'm putting my toe in the water and trying to get my wife hooked. She's never been on a machine. I bought a 2000 ZL 600 from a friend who has been the only owner and a 2008 F6 from a dealer. Can't wait to get in the snow!

Hey Everyone!

So I’m from MN, bout half hour north of the metro. Getting back into sledding after god knows how many years. First sled was a 1986 Polaris SS I believe it was a 440 fan cooled. I just picked up two Indy 500’s. One a 1998 and the other a 1997 along with a trailer (package deal on the letgo app) I’ll probably be adding one more. I mainly bought them for something me and the kids can do together, the third sled will probably be a 340 something since my youngest is only 10 he doesn’t need something with a lot of power. Anyway, I’ll be scouring the forums looking for info on these. From what I gather they’re pretty reliable sleds. I do have some questions about the 97 but I’ll make a separate post about those later. Thanks in advance for any help I receive.

1976 Massey 340 whirlwind

Just became the owner of a Massey 340 whirlwind. Hasn’t ran since 1988! Very low miles been kept in a shop under a cover and Is very very clean. Am going to start going over everything in the next upcoming couple days. Just don’t know much about these sleds. Just looking for some info on this cuyuna engines. Didn’t know if there was anyone out there that has had prior knowledge of these sleds or knows about the engines. Thanks

Okay very new to this forum style.. But, I got a pair of near mint Yamaha excel 3s the other day.. One has only 400 miles on it.. They'd sat on a trailer for 10 years at a wealthy couples home.. I got one started lastnight, and I can't get it to move.. I'm figuring I'm doing something wrong because these things look pretty much brand new

2011 Polaris rush 600 Pro R

Hi everyone. I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a used 600 Pro R with just over 4K miles. Sled looks pristine and the seller just replaced fuel pump, slags, pull rope, hyfax at a Polaris dealership. Is there anything I should double check when I go to pick it up? I have heard fuel pumps can be a nightmare in these sleds. Also i plan on running ethanol free fuel. How do i know what chip is in there? Sorry i have no experience with newer sleds. I put 1k miles on a 2000 classic touring last year lol. Thanks in advance!
